1st Knight Tchoukball Cup 2010 

The Knight Tchoukball Cup is a yearly tournament which will be held in different places. We will have a Cup for the champion. This Cup would be returned for the next champion. In year 2010, the 1st. The Knight Tchoukball Cup will be held in Melaka on 19th - 20th December 2010.

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE 1st KNIGHT TCHOUKBALL CUP 2010

1.           NAME
1.1     This tournament is named 1ST Knight Tchoukball Cup 2010. It’s a yearly end year tournament

2.           GENERAL RULES
2.1     Every team that received an invitation from The Knight Tchoukball Club may take part in this tournament.

2.2     The category involves is:
·       Open category (Any age & gender may compete)

2.3     The tournament will use the format of Group Phase followed by Knock-out format for the Semifinals and Finals.

2.4     All rules applied during the competition will follow the Rules of Tchoukball according to International Tchoukball Federation (FITB) and the Rules of 1st Knight Tchoukball cup 2010 as determined by The Knight Tchoukball Cup.

2.5     Team captains must report to referee table 5 minutes before match begins.

2.6     Champion of tournament will receive a memorable trophy. This trophy can be kept by team members.

2.7     The Cup must be returned for next year’s tournament

3.           MANAGEMENT
3.1     The Knight Tchoukball Club will organize and manage this tournament.

4.           RULES
4.1      Open category
·         This category is for men & women of any age
·         Each team is made up of maximum of 12 players per team (7players  5substitute)
·         Each team can have a maximum of 2 international level players
(Only the open category who participate in APCT2010 are the international level players)
·         3 periods per match
·         8 minute per period, 2 minute rest per period
·         Semi-final and Final match will be played in 12 minutes per period with 3 minutes rest per period.

5.           DRAWS
5.1     Draws will be done 1 week before the tournament by organizing committee.

5.2     Draws will be conducted by an appointed Tournament Referee.

              5.3     Teams will be randomly placed in groups by the organizing committee.

5.4     Every team must send 3 individuals to be Referees

6.           PHASES OF COMPETITION
6.1     The tournament will have 2 phases:

·       Groups Phase
·       Knock-out Phases

6.2     Organizers have the right to make changes to the format of tournament with agreement of team managers of the team involved.

7.           SUDDEN DEATH
7.1     In the event that the score is tied at the end of regulation play, and a match winner is needed to be determined, then the Sudden Death Rules comes into effect.

7.2     In Sudden Death, play is restarted by the team with possession. Whichever team that scores the next point wins the match.

7.3  Sudden death will only be used in know-out phases

8.        WALK OVER
8.1       Teams that do not make it to court on time can be disqualified by match referee. This will count as a 30 – 0 win for the opposing team.

8.2       Players allowed in court must be at least 5 players. Failure to meet minimum number will be considered as a 30 – 0 win for the opposing team.

9.           ADAPTED RULES
9.1       None

10.        TEAM MANAGEMENT
10.1   Throughout the course of the tournament, each team must be accompanied by at least a Team Manager.

10.2   Team managers should be responsible for team registration, players’ welfare, transportation of players, match schedule, and collecting lunch.

11.        APPEAL
11.1   All appeals must be made to the organizing committee and all decisions are final.

11.2   Appeals can only be made pertaining to the rules of the tournament.

11.3   Match Referees’ decisions are final and no appeal will be accepted.
